Newquay Household Waste Recycling Centre

Description

Within the Integrated Waste Management Contract it is identified that the Newquay Household Waste Recycling Centre will not have sufficient capacity to meet the growing population of Newquay and the surrounding area. it was proposed by the Duchy that they would provide a more suitable plot of land for a new HWRC site with the Hendra Quarter of the Nansledan Development. Cornwall Council has approved the Nansledan Local Development Order. The Duchy are currently progressing archaeological works including topsoil clearance and groundworks Whilst the HWRC plot is still within Duchy ownership, it was agreed that this area would be included within the works, with the Council reimbursing the % relating to the new HWRC site.
