Highway and Associated Areas Weed Control

Description

Service to control weeds found across highway verges and other public and service areas to improve the appearance of the public realm but also for preventing the risk of creating slippery surfaces and trip points, and where weeds occur along kerbs and channels, where they can obscure the kerb and disrupt drainage. Additional information: The contract for weed control is for a minimum period of one year, with the possibility of extending for one year periods for up to a further two years. This is due to the uncertainty of funding and the whether pesticides will be utilized for this service in future years.
