The provision of design assurance and support in connection with the roll-out and implementation of the DWP Rapid Estate Expansion Project

As a result of Covid-19, the UK is facing an economic downturn and increased demand for the DWP's services. In order to meet this demand, DWP is hiring thousands of additional staff, and has started work implementing a project to rapidly expand the DWP estate. McBains have produced a Jobcentre Overflow Estate Design Guide for this expanded estate. This requirement is to provide a 'Design Authority Role' and support to DWP throughout this Rapid Estates Expansion Project (REEP). Amongst other services, McBains will review contractor proposals for each new site to provide assurance that these are compliant with the Design Guide, and to highlight any relevant considerations within the fields of architecture and mechanical and engineering, plumbing and heating.
