## Description

Land management works are required to restore the heathland on Lizard Downs within the Lizard National Nature Reserve \(NNR\), Helston in Cornwall\. Works include: 1\) cutting of firebreaks \(c\.4,800m in total\) and the subsequent burning of heathland \(c\.3\.8ha in total\); 2\) restoration of Mediterranean Temporary Pond habitat along pathways \(c\.2,800m in total\); 3\) excavation/restoration of meres/pools \(3,000sqm total area\); 4\) creation of a new mere \(72sqm total area\); and 5\) creation of approximately 20 small pits \(c\.1,800sqm, ranging from 20sqm to 670sqm\)\. All works must be completed by 31/03/2024\.
