Description

Overseas Payment Service (pass-through) (OPS) contract provides the connectivity to enable the secure transmission of the overseas payment file from the DWP estate to Citibank (the Overseas Bulk fx supplier) via Vocalink. Vocalink is the sole supplier of the UK's Banker's Automated Clearing System (BACS) which forms part of the National Critical Infrastructure (NCI). The OPS (pass-through) exists only to facilitate the transfer of payment file information submitted via Vocalink to Citibank for processing. The OPS itself does not provide any other service, it is a necessary step within the process to separate the overseas file ready for collection and ongoing transmission, following the approved route of submission into Vocalink infrastructure.
