## Description

The LGA is seeking an expert advisor to assist its work with the Special Interest Group on Countering Extremism \(SIGCE\); a sector led network that provides support to councils and partners on tackling extremism\. This advisor will bring insight and expertise on faith-based "Islamist" extremism and will work with LGA officers and the SIGCE's Lead Facilitator to offer regular guidance and updates to councils on this issue, and develop the work of the SIGCE's faith-based extremism working group \(FBEWG\)\.
