## Description

Following a review of the Custodial Estate, a priority list detailing the Fire Safety Improvement Requirements\) has been agreed with His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service \(HMPPS\) and Crown Premises Fire Safety Inspectorate\. HMP Styal is a female adult and young offenders' prison with both an open and closed population\. The MBU and Nightingale house blocks are not purpose-built prison accommodation and significant upgrades are required to the house blocks to rectify fire safety issues\.
