House Extension and Refurbishment

Uttlesford District Council is looking for a competent local Building Contractor for the refurbishment and extension of an existing UDC owned property to provide an adapted dwelling to meet the need of an identified family.

UDC has already secured planning permission (reference UTT/18/2642/HHF) for the extension works and is seeking the earliest commencement and completion of the project.

The successful tenderer will preferably have undertaken similar schemes of property refurbishment and new build/extension works for Local Authorities or Registered Providers.

This experience will be ascertained at a Due Diligence meeting which will be held prior to any Contract award and appointment to ensure potential Contractors have relevant capacity and capability. The project timetable has been set and is included in the tender documents.

The estimated Contract Sum for the works is approximately £115,000.00 and the project will be awarded via a JCT 2016 Minor Works MWD Contract.

Uttlesford District Council is looking for works to commence by 3rd June 2019.
