Description

This tender is for the provision of waste management services to York St John University. The contract will initially be for a period of three years, with the option to extend for a further two periods of up to two years. The maximum contract duration on offer is therefore seven years. The University is looking to appoint a single Contractor to deliver the following waste collection services: • Commercial waste collection: Food, Dry Mixed Recycling, Glass, Residual General Waste; • Residential waste collection: Food, Dry Mixed Recycling, Glass, Residual General Waste; • Skips: Green/Organic Waste, Construction Waste, Bulky Dry Mixed Recycling (furniture and timber) The University is seeking a service which supports its key objective to improve sustainable performance and reduce waste in accordance with the waste management hierarchy; reduce, re-use, recycle, recover energy from waste. The Contractor is required to offer a ‘zero waste to landfill’ service. Additional information: Closing date/time for tender submissions: 5pm Monday 11th April 2016.
