## Description

The National Physical Laboratory \(NPL\) requirement is for an apparatus for realising the argon triple point, -189\.3442 °C, to move away from labour-intensive operation of manual systems through largely automated realisation of the fixed-point with the following mandatory requirements: - Uncertainty of less than or equal to 0\.25 mK - Reproducibility of less than or equal to 0\.2 mK - Plateau duration of more than 10 hours - immersion depth of at least 400 mm
