The Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing for West Midlands Fire Service Properties

The Authority requires a contractor to Electrical Installation Condition Reports to be undertaken fully in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989: Part II Regulations 5-15 and with BS 7671 I.E.E. Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition chapters 62-63 across the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority Estate. A thorough visual inspection of the electrical installation will be carried out where practicable with regards to the following:

• Safety • Wear and tear • Corrosion • Damage • Excessive loading (overload) • Age • External influences • Suitability

All remedial works up to the value of £500.00 (Five Hundred Pounds Only) per site are permissible without authorisation as part of this contract. Any works above this value will require a written quotation from the winning contractor (See schedule 2, reference 3.7.01 and 3.7.02)
