## Description

The Authority requires a contractor to Electrical Installation Condition Reports to be undertaken fully in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989: Part II Regulations 5-15 and with BS 7671 I\.E\.E\. Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition chapters 62-63 across the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority Estate\. A thorough visual inspection of the electrical installation will be carried out where practicable with regards to the following: • Safety • Wear and tear • Corrosion • Damage • Excessive loading \(overload\) • Age • External influences • Suitability All remedial works up to the value of £500\.00 \(Five Hundred Pounds Only\) per site are permissible without authorisation as part of this contract\. Any works above this value will require a written quotation from the winning contractor \(See schedule 2, reference 3\.7\.01 and 3\.7\.02\) Refer to schedule 2 \(the specification\) for full details\.
