## Description

Tata Steel Works in Port Talbot, Llanelli and Llanwern are due to scale down production resulting in 750 direct employees and sub-contractors being made redundant\. Redundancies are scheduled from June 2016\. South West Wales JCP District has identified a need for a group based training programme to support TATA Steel’s 750 employees/sub-contractors\. This will be divided amongst two centres: SOUTH EAST WALES – Llanwern area \(expected 112 participants\), and SOUTH WEST WALES – Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli area \(expected 638 participants\), to deliver sector skills and awareness and effective job seeking skills for those sectors\.
