Work description

Middlesbrough Council is currently delivering an £8 million capital scheme to restore and redevelop Middlesbrough Town Hall (MTH) as a vibrant cultural and heritage hub for Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley. The plans include the restoration of the Carriageway with original glass roof which will become the main box office and circulation area, the development of new café and bar facilities, and a new community space.

Middlesbrough Council is keen to explore whether suitable providers may be interested in managing the future proposed café, bars and possibly some catering events business within a redeveloped Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Middlesbrough Council is engaging the market in order for us to determine the future service model.

From analysis of responses, a representative sample of organisations will be invited to discuss the issues in late December 2016.

In issuing this advert the Council is not committing to undertaking any procurement and any non participation by organisations will not be taken into account or preclude them from any future procurement.

Interested organisations should note that this is not a call for competition and an OJEU contract notice will be issued in the near future when expressions of interest will be requested following consideration of the feedback from potential providers.
