Description

Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) is a regulatory approval and funding framework for onshore transmission projects required to deliver the Government's 2030 Net Zero ambitions. It applies to 26 transmission projects with the aim to facilitate accelerated delivery. Large Onshore Transmission Investments (LOTI) assesses large electricity transmission projects that come forward during the RIIO-ET2 price control and potentially RIIO-3, period. Transmission Operators (TO's) submit applications under ASTI and LOTI for project assessment which are reviewed by Ofgem. Ofgem requires the support of a supplier to support on the Large Transmission Project Delivery Team (LPTD) with their ASTI and LOTI Project Assessments, in particular reviewing cost estimates and identifying potential areas of efficiency.
