Work description
To provide an independent review and report of regional themes and capabilities with recommendations for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. including: A.The need to engage with key stakeholders across the Arc to ensure that their views for the development of the space sector are understood to provide a shared vision for space across the Arc, ensuring that the resulting activities & proposals are aligned to local industrial strategies, local authorities' strategies & visions of key stakeholders. B.To collate and synthesise existing reports, strategies and background information from national and local government, industry and other bodies across the Arc to understand existing recommendations and activities related to developing the space sector (either completed or planned), drawing out emerging themes and identifying synergies at the local and Arc level. C.To collate an up-to-date report of the regional capabilities, stakeholders & facilities, both within the space sector and in adjacent but clearly aligned sectors that are capable of providing transformative solutions to the space sector, building on existing reports and through consultation with key stakeholders & leadership across the region. D.To provide recommendations on the space strengths and opportunities across the Arc and a shared action plan, understood and owned by key Arc stakeholders that outlines how these opportunities could be taken forward so that the region increases its impact on UK Space economy as an engine of innovation and growth. On the basis of the above, to achieve a vision / ambition and a steer on the areas of focus and how different parts of the Arc are complementary and design a roadmap to develop a space strategy owned by the Arc leadership and stakeholders.
