## Description

To carry out an External Quality Assessment \(EQA\) as required by the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards \(PSIAS\) and Local Government Application Note \(LGAN\) for each of the Internal Audit Teams as detailed in this document below\. The required work will be to undertake a review and validation of the self-assessments against the PSIAS which have been produced by the Chief Audit Executive \(CAE\) for each of the Internal Audit Functions at their respective authorities and in addition provide a comparison in respect of best practice\. Staffordshire Chief Auditors Group \(SCAG\) have come together to procure an assessor\(s\) to carry out the EQA on each of our teams as required by PSIAS/LGAN\. The group is also looking to achieve shared learning and promotion of best practice via a common and consistent independent EQA\. The Internal Audit functions that are included for review in this specification are: • Cannock Chase District Council/Stafford Borough Council • Newcastle Under Lyme Borough Council • Stoke on Trent City Council • Tamworth Borough Council/Lichfield District Council • Staffordshire Moorlands District Council/High Peak Borough Council • Staffordshire County Council/Staffordshire Fire & Rescue • South Staffordshire District Council • Shropshire Council • Telford & Wrekin Council More information on each Internal Audit function is contained in Annex 1 of the specification Additional information: User guide attached for County Council etendering system, where this opportunity is available
