ITT FOR THE DESIGN, SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF A CHILDRENS PLAY AREA; TO INCLUDE REPLACEMENT OF THE EXISTING PLAY FACILITY AT WAR MEMORIAL PARK, BASINGSTOKE UNDER ESPO FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT 115 (LOT 2)

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council ('the Council') was seeking the design, supply and installation of play facilities at War Memorial Park, in Basingstoke Town Centre. The project was to upgrade and enhance the existing play area, to provide exciting and current play facilities to cater for the pre-school (under 5) and junior age groups as outlined in the brief and should meet all current regulations and best practice.

The new play area was to provide a destination facility appropriate for the park's Green Flag status and location within a historic park and Conservation Area. It was to include safe, engaging and fun play zones with a wow factor and unique offer, and will be fully aligned to the commitment set out in the Council Plan to provide great facilities for its residents, and in accordance with the BDBC guidance notes and standards for the provision of children's play facilities.
