SMG Sites Health and Safety Management System Audits - AWARD

Science Museum Group (SMG) require the completion of annual health and safety audits of each site in order to ensure the management systems for safety are adequate against ISO 45001 and current legislation.

To note - SMG does not require certification to ISO 45001.

However, SMG works to this standard, and the audits should review compliance against this. Where it is found that these systems do not meet with ISO 45001, legislation or other relevant guidance, SMG requires the auditor to identify non-conformities or opportunities for improvement for implementation by SMG.

In line with ISO 45001:2018, identification of legal and other requirements remains the responsibility of the client. However, every effort will be made to cover a wide range of sampling during the audit. This should include the provision of an audit report which is to be provided no more than 7 days after the final audit day.
