Description
EMODnet Seabed Habitats The European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) has a vision to provide long‐term access to high‐quality marine data covering all European coastal waters, shelf seas and surrounding ocean basins and to make that data interoperable and freely available for all users. EMODnet is an initiative from the European Commission Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) as part of its Marine Knowledge 2020 strategy. EMODnet is divided into seven lots; each lot has its own website. JNCC is the leader of the Seabed Habitats lot, and manages the website for the project (www.emodnet-seabedhabitats.eu). The website is currently managed through the Alterian CMS (Microsoft .NET / SQL) which we wish to be replaced by the UMBRACO CMS. The staging server is internal to JNCC and the live server hosted commercially. A similar staging/live set-up is envisaged with content published to the live site from the staging site on a schedule / as required. The EMODnet secretariat has produced some guidelines documents for the creation and standardisation of the various EMODnet-related websites in the form of a style guide (fonts, colours, buttons, etc., please see Appendix A). Additional information: You are invited by JNCC Support Co. (JNCC) to submit a tender for the supply of works or services required under the above project. If interested you should download and read the carefully the documents contained in the zip file or by following the link.
