Supply of Flatbed Screens

CPI is a leading independent technology innovation centre and a founding member of the UK Government's High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which supports businesses and academia to help them overcome innovation challenges in the development of next generation products and processes by providing the facilities, in depth technical expertise and innovation support to enable ideas, research and knowledge to be translated into commercial business propositions.

The CPI Sedgefield site has a printable electronics manufacturing centre which focuses on the production of 'smart labels'. One of the key requirements of producing these smart labels is the ability to print conductive circuits in-house. CPI has identified flat-bed screen printing as one of the preferred routes to batch process the manufacture of these circuits, due to the ability to print layers that have sufficient conductivity to provide the necessary functionality. CPI has two flat-bed screen printers, one DEK 248 and one DEK Horizon CPI are looking to tender for a supplier for screens suitable for use in the existing systems.
