16 197 Provision of Emotionally Healthy Schools Phase 2

Cheshire East Borough Council has committed on a non-contractually binding basis to procure Phase twoof the Emotionally Healthy Schools Programme; Lot 1 — Tools for Schools and Lot 2 — Mental Health LinkProgramme. The emotional health and well-being of young people is central to delivering Cheshire EastCouncils Outcome 5 identified in the three year plan — people live well for longer — care services focus onprevention early intervention, physical and mental wellbeing. The Children and Young People's Plan alsoidentifies young people's emotional health and wellbeing as a priority and the intention to make Cheshire East agood place to be young. Phase 2 of Emotionally Healthy Schools is also aligned to the Health Promotions andIllness Prevention outcomes for children and young people in the Public Health Outcomes Framework. ThisProgramme aims to acknowledge the vital role played by schools in promoting the emotional wellbeing of theirpupils, and seeks to strengthen this relationship. All submisisons to be sent via the chest by 12 noon on 7th December 2016.
