## Description

In Bexley obesity has been identified as a key priority in the Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Joint Strategic Needs Assessment\. Its strategic outcomes are to reduce the prevalence of obesity and support a reduction in health inequalities by ensuring resources are targeted to disadvantaged communities\. The London Borough of Bexley is carrying out an open tender process to appoint up to 2 providers to deliver its tier 2 Adult Weight Management programme which supports overweight and obese adults to lose weight and learn how to maintain a healthier weight and lifestyle\. Access to the programme is by referral\. The Council is looking at provider\(s\) to provide the service from a number of locations throughout the borough\. The programme will run over a 12 week period\.
