The Provision of Inspection Of Metallic Pipework • The contractor will take receipt of the pipe samples\. • The pipe samples will have been 'hard stamped' with the pipe ID, the datum used for the blind trials, and the extent of the repair prior to removal\. • Employing the same datum as a reference, the contractor will then use the most appropriate technique \(likely to be c-scan in the majority of cases but perhaps extending to dye penetrant for external crack-like defects and external laser scanning, as appropriate\) to locate and size defects in the \(formerly\) wrapped area\. • The specific choice of inspection method/s will be at the discretion of the contractor\.
