Flow Cytometer with automatic plat loader

The University of Sheffield has awarded a tender on behalf of the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences for a Flow Cytometer with automatic plate loader.

The system will support a wide range of applications, ranging from estimating microbial population dynamics to quantifying proportion of fluorescent protein marked bacterial strains in competition-based fitness assays. Importantly, the new flow cytometer will be equipped with automatic plate loader, to conduct high throughput assays by automatically measuring the performance of 96 populations at time.
