UK SBS PS17170-Legal Services in connection with CPO for Major Area Regeneration

South Tees Development Corporation (STDC) will be launched in August 2017, tasked with delivering the South Tees Regeneration Programme. Pending launch, South Tees Site Company Ltd (STSC), acting on behalf of STDC, has been involved in early land assembly negotiations with major landowners. Among the many powers vested in STDC will be the power to make Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs). STSC, as the procuring organisation, requires a legal partner to assist in the provision of general legal services connected with land acquisition and in preparing for and executing CPOs as may be necessary.

The services required through from the legal partner to comprise of the following legal services: • Task 1: Supporting complex land assembly negotiations in respect of the SSI-IL landholdings and providing general legal advice on land and property matters • Task 2: Preparing for and executing CPOs concerning one or more land interests within the STDC boundary.

This contract was awarded following a further competition against CCS RM3786 General Legal Advice Services Tier 1.

(Please note there is an option to extend this contract for a further 12 months until 12/09/19. This optional extension is valued at £200,000.00)
