Structural Repairs and Maintenance to Blackpool Tower

Blackpool Council is looking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified structural engineering firm in order to undertake structural repairs during an initial period of operational closure, January 2019 - March 2019; it should be noted that although the Blackpool Tower Eye is closed to the public for the majority of time during this period, there is a requirement for some public opening and the Tower will remain a live site. It is essential for the successful bidder to work closely with Merlin in this regard so as to complete the tasks required in the time period available while implementing behaviour and methods appropriate of such a site. Further maintenance and repairs are required to be undertaken 2019 - 2022 on an ad-hoc basis as identified by annual inspections and surveys. The successful Contractor must clearly demonstrate the ability to meet our requirements and who offers the most economically advantageous tender.
