Description

Procurement of a new Library Services Platform, with Library Management System (LMS) and discovery-layer functionality defined as:  'Core' LMS - including circulation, cataloguing, serials management, patron management, acquisitions, management analytics and information, document delivery and inter-library-lending.   'Resource Discovery' - online cataloguing functions to provide a single search across multiple resource formats (e.g. search print books and e-books) in our holdings.  'Search' - search across multiple data sources (e.g. electronic subscription platforms) and return consolidated results sets. Federated search (i.e. searching multiple platforms simultaneously in real-time) and metasearch (i.e. searching single consolidated index of data in one place).   'Electronic Records Management' - ERM designed to assist in managing electronic subscriptions and information held by the Library.
