Maintenance of a Choice-Based Lettings, Web-Based System

In 2011 a Collaborative procurement took place between 5 North East local authorities to procured a web based system that allows tenants to apply for tenure across the North East. The Contract was procured through the Northern Housing Consortium Procurement organisation. The maintenance of this system is to be re-procured after the initial 5-year period has expired. However, as the system is specifically owned by Abritas Limited, no other Company can maintain the system. Therefore a negotiated process has taken place to award this maintenance Contract direct to Abritas Limited

Additional information: This Contract was awarded through a negotiation process due to the fact that it is a software maintenance agreement linked to software that is only provided by its Developer. This being the case, no other Supplier can provide this requirement.
