Description

Delivery of Procurement and Commercial Service for strategic support on complex and challenging commercial initiatives for DWP. The Statements of Work are complex in nature, and require capable, and experienced Strategic and specialised resource to execute. DWP is solely focused on robust outcomes and will leave the selected supplier to determine the most appropriate resource with the required skill level and experience to allocate to the DWP order, including substituting staff during periods of leave or natural wastage thus ensuring no breaks in service and full focus on achieving delivery outcomes. The key skillset required from the Specialist IT Commercial Services Supplier are: - Experience of negotiating with technical suppliers on major complex transactions of values in excess of £100m per negotiation - Robust record of value for money optimisation when exiting large complex contracts with challenging suppliers - Deep technical ability in the areas of Applications, Hosting, Networks, Desktop, Service Management. - Strategic insight and experience of delivering Outsourcing/Insourcing projects and associated risk. - Experience of working with major public and private sector clients with an understanding of government governance processes and protocol.
