This is a short stay service for Adults with a Learning Disability which helps support family carers\. A good short stay is responsive to unique family, individual and cultural circumstances, is regular and reliable, frequent enough, long enough, enjoyable and meaningful for the person with a learning disability\. It is: For all family carers to receive a complete break from the routine of caring, so combating isolation, stress, crisis and breakdown - to feel energised and able to go on\. To help a whole family or community to sustained caring for the person with a learning disability\. For people with learning disabilities to get an enjoyable break from their families, with real opportunities and choices to try new experiences, make friends and learn new skills\.
