Local Street Works Register

Description

The Local Street Works Register (LSWR) system is required to enable TfL to fulfil their statutory duties under the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA) amended by the Transport Act 2000 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA). The Network Management and Resilience (NMR) Directorate is responsible for coordinating all road works on the TLRN undertaken by external and internal works promoters, and the LSWR is used for every aspect of this work. The system is currently used by circa 75 users and this work includes; • The co-ordination of all Road and Street Works on the TLRN • The granting and refusal of permit applications under the London Permit Scheme (LoPS) • The inspections of works undertaken on the TLRN • The monitoring and application of over-run charges (S74 of NRSWA) • The monitoring and application of a Fixed Penalty Notice System • Public Register Solution
