Work description

This is a Contract Award Notice The proposed scheme is for the demolition of the existing Crewe Fire Station buildings and their replacement by a new fire station of similar size and scale. The project will also include the refurbishment and repurposing of the existing Community Bungalow at the rear of the site, the construction of a cold smoke training facility and erection of a training tower.

A Mini Competition (RFQ - Request for Quote) was issued under the Procure Partnerships North West Area Framework; value band £5m - £15m was issued to the contractors who responded positively to the Expression of Interest process

A JCT PCSA contract has been awarded following the first stage process. The PCSA value is £147,199.63 . The lowest/highest values shown relate to the Mini-comp bid values and cover values in the 1st/PCSA stage as well as in the 2nd/build stage. These values exclude the Contractors Proposals/Design and Build stage costs, The contract award covers the Design and Build Stage too. The estimated construction contract sum is £5.6m
