Programme and Project Partners (PPP)

Sellafield Ltd estimates the PPP Project value to be between £3,000m and £4,500m based on the current identified scope (see MOI). The £7,000m estimated value in the Contract Notice recognises the challenge of estimating the total value of a Project with such longevity. It includes the estimated value of each of the four Lots as set out in the Contract Notice. Based on Sellafield Ltd experience over the last decade and beyond, it also recognises the potential for change/increase in the value range attached to the current identified scope. Such change could arise out of changes in, for example, UK nuclear strategy, Sellafield Site strategy, costs and changes in technologies. Such change could also arise out of the operation and development of the PPP Partnership. Any and all such change/increase in value will require relevant internal approvals and be subject to more detailed project definition, as appropriate, in line with Sellafield Ltd's gated project approval process.
