PAN1276 - Jewry Wall Museum Design & Interpretation

This work will form part of the Museums Transformation Programme. The Council recently acquired Vaughan College and is now looking to investigate potential opportunities for the redisplay of Jewry Wall Museum incorporating space in the former Vaughan College.

In order to develop the options for redisplay of the museum, Leicester City Council wish to bring in a company with a specialism in museum design to work with the museum team in order to further develop the interpretative brief and map this out on the physical space potentially available.

The supplier will be required to provide: • An outline plan and associated images of how both floors of the museum could look, with different options for an average overall spend of £1500 per sqm, £2000 per sqm and £2500 per sqm. • Assessment of how these options would compare with peer Roman museum/heritage sites in the UK. • An outline timescale for detailed design and installation, taking into account the possibility of a stage 1 HLF application to be submitted in late 2016
