Work description
During the summer period various areas of the University will be undergoing a refurbishment programme. This will include two cafes, first located in the Portland Square Building on the main campus and second café located in John Bull Building at the Tamar Science Park. There is a requirement to reduce a number of seats on a 70%-30% mix of café style eating seats to soft seating with power solutions for working in groups or holding meetings.
In addition to that as part of this programme there is a need of utilising currently unused spaces and creating social learning zones. The areas included in this programme are located in Portland Square Building (outside of the café), Roland Levinsky Building- 2nd floor, and John Bull Building located at Tamar Science Park.
Lastly, there is also a requirement to upgrade current library open access space that provides a large number of computers for general student use 24/7. This area requires a mixture of computer desks and soft seated pods with power provisions.
