Work description
Devon County Council (DCC) is looking to procure a new vehicle barrier system to be installed at Exeter Science Park. The main objective of the new barrier system is to control access and improve security for the park and its tenants.
The barrier system will comprise of three new barriers to be located at the following locations at Exeter Science Park:
1. Babbage Way Southern Junction 2. Babbage Way Northern Junction (exit only) 3. Upper Richardson
Suppliers are requested to provide proposals against a range of requirements that include:
• The design, supply and installation of a new vehicle barrier system, including requirements for civil work. • Cabling and connections of communications linkages for the new barrier system • The supply and installation of multiple recognition technology: Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Mid-range RFID readers Intercoms • Supply and installation of CCTV camera equipment to monitor vehicle access from remote locations. • The supply and installation of Information Technology equipment and software to enable the operation and management of the new vehicle barrier system • Commissioning and testing of new vehicle barrier system and remote access • Maintenance & Training Support The procurement documents are available for unrestricted and full direct access, free of charge, at: http://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk Additional information can be obtained from the above mentioned address.
