INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF WEED CONTROL SERVICES

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (The Council) currently have responsibility for treatment and control of weeds on Hampshire County Council (HCC) owned footpaths and pavements. These areas are all 'hard surfaces'. The Council also have their own areas for which they are responsible for weed control. These are mainly 'soft landscaped areas' but does include some amount of 'hard surfaces'. The Council is seeking to appoint a suitable contractor to provide weed control services in accordance with the full specification included in this tender document. This contract is for two years plus a further optional year.

The Council has proposed the following timetable for this Tender process: Dispatch of ITT: Thursday 15th April 2021 Questions & Answers: Thurs 15th April - Mon 10th May 2021 Return of Tender: 12.00.00 Friday 14th May 2021 Evaluation of Tender: Friday 28th May 2021 Notification of Contract Award to Tenderers: Tues 3rd June 2021 Contract commencement meeting: TBA

The Council reserves the right to change the above timetable and Tenderers will be notified accordingly where there is a change in the timetable.

The Council is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers.
