SOUND METERS SD

• Needs to be a stand alone unit, hand held and be able to be tripod mounted = sound level meter. • Need to be able to handle peaks up to 160 to 170 dB(C) - this will mean using a 1/4 inch microphone, (not standard issue with sound level meters) • Needs to be able to carry out A-weighted and C-weighted measurements simultaneously. • Must be able to do C-weighted peak for Control of Noise at Work Regs 2005. • Needs to be able to do impulse weightings for Firework standards testing measurements • All in one unit/supplier/manufacturer to mitigate risk of microphone element not communicating with meter element. • Instrument needs to meet BS EN 61672 (IEC 61672):2013
