Expression of interest for an Extra Care Service facility in Burnley

The Lancashire Housing with Care and Support Strategy, 2018-2025, highlights the authorities' aim to have at least one Extra Care scheme for older adults in each District equating to approximately 1,000 homes by 2025 together with the importance of further developments in Lancashire.

In the strategy, there is an estimated need for 134 extra care units in Burnley. We currently have no extra care units available in Burnley. In seeking to address this, we are requiring an extra care facility in the district of 60 or more units, together with the appropriate care and support, to meet this identified gap. We are therefore enquiring as to what might be available in the market and to be aware of any potential plans.
