The In-Cell programme is a key policy-driven HMPPS initiative in both reducing reoffending and enabling Officer to spend more time on their value-added work of reducing violence and delivering safety. The scope of the technology enabled change spans: simple, everyday tasks for themselves, such as informing the kitchen manager about their meal choices for the coming weeks, and vastly reduces the administrative burden placed on prison staff.
