Description
The service required is the off-site secure storage of artefacts from the Museum's collection, in appropriate environmentally controlled conditions. The collections will be monitored during storage, and when a new venue for the Museum is secured and prepared, the collections will be returned and displayed. In the interim, facilities must be available for artefacts to be retrieved for pop-up displays and use by researchers, on a charged-for basis.\r \r Only one supplier has been identified that is able to accommodate the fragile collections in the timescale required, and over a 5-year period the cost will be c. £52,750 + VAT As such, we propose to use Protocol 8 as a sole supplier appointment.
