Provision of Travel Management Service

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) was established in 1917 to honour the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars.

Our work covers cemeteries and memorials at 23,000 locations in more than 150 countries and territories which requires extensive worldwide travel.

Key areas include but are not limited to:

- Hotel Accommodation, - Rail Travel and Bookings, - Travel Management Services, and - Air Travel.

Our current contract travel management contract, which provides both an on-line booking and bureau service, expires on 10th August 2019 and work has commenced on the development of the forthcoming tender exercise, including canvassing the views of the various stakeholders

We are not, at this stage, asking suppliers to notify us of their interest in this tender, nor will we be providing any additional information to that provided in this notice, prior to the tender being issued.

Instead, we are advising interested parties that the tender will be conducted using the CWGC e-Procurement portal - https://in-tendhost.co.uk/cwgc/aspx/Home and are inviting interested parties to register with the portal prior to the tender being issued.

Additional information: When registering with the portal, please complete as much of the information as possible.

When entering a contact email address for both the Primary and Additional Users, you are advised to use a generic address which can be readily accessed by more than one person i.e. "tenders@xyz.com ", rather than a personal address such as "RKipling@xyz.com ". This will ensure that any communications sent by us via the portal will be read even if an individual in unavailable through leave or sickness, for example.

Also, you can include as many "Business Classifications" as you think are appropriate (the wild card for searching is "_") but, as a minimum, can you please include "4155 - Travel - Air", "4300 - Travel - Hotels", and"4150 - Travel - Train/Ferry/Coach/Bus" - which are the closest internal matches for the forthcoming project.
