South Cambridgeshire District Council - Ukraine Young Person's Activities

As part of South Cambridgeshire District Council's work to support guests from Ukraine through the Homes for Ukraine scheme, we are working with our local communities in their efforts to welcome and provide support for guests.

We will require a service provider(s) that can deliver cost effective, flexible, high quality and value for money 'nature-based' wellbeing courses that support the health and wellbeing of Ukrainian Children. To include:

• Teaching children to learn through hands-on experiences through activities such as Bushcraft skills, playing games, making friends, building dens, pond dipping and treasure hunts.

• Sessions taught by skilled activity instructor(s)

• Learning that takes place in a natural setting to help develop confidence and self-esteem.

• Sessions that are in line with best Nature-based wellbeing practice

• Sessions that allow a Ukrainian/Russian speaking wellbeing support worker to attend.

• A reasonable 'dropout policy' to ensure spaces are filled as consistently as possible

• Certificates of achievement for students at the end of the course

• The promotion of other schemes run by South Cambridgeshire District Council to be included in courses, for example free bikes/ free laptops/ESOL lessons
