Work description

South Cambridgeshire is one of the fastest growing Districts in the Country. Development is disproportionately high, resulting in unprecedented numbers of Planning Applications requiring varying levels of assessment. South Cambridgeshire District Council is seeking Consultants to provide ad-hoc support to assist the Council's Contaminated Land Service in responding to these Planning Applications, and to provide additional cover where required.

The Project involves a number of work strands:

• Ad-hoc assistance with responding to Planning Applications • Provision of a lead regulatory service for specified Major Sites • Provision of Specialist impartial advice / peer review capacity

The Council is seeking to work with a suitably qualified Consultant who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience of Contaminated Land, Air Quality and the Planning Process.

This work forms part of the Council's statutory duties. The Consultant must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of the work being sought, that cannot be effectively mitigated.

Detailed proposals are now invited from Consultants. This contract is for 1 year term of ad-hoc assistance, with the option to extend each and every year for a further 3 years.
