Description

A Systems Centre 2012 engineer who has a ‘can do’ attitude and who has skills in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), SCCM, Microsoft Systems Configuration Manager (SCSM) and Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator. Expert skills in all these areas, not just working knowledge of SCOM or SCSM. Key deliverables of the role: • Win 8.1 Desktop image deployment to Surface Pro 3 (image capture and deploy) using SCCM • Software packaging and deployment using SCCM (Use of Admin Studio for MSI creation) • Examine existing processes for deployment of windows updates using SCCM and implement improvements • Protective monitoring of server infrastructure – alert generation, proactive response using SCOM • Creating workflows for proactive actions in response to alerts • Report generation from SCCM • Creation of a SCOM dashboard available to engineers to show status of the server infrastructure for display onto a SharePoint site. • Creating runbooks to automate actions generated within SCSM • Create dashboard for SCSM status (SLA targets met etc) to display onto a SharePoint site • Document all configurations, modifications and procedures in a clear and concise manner • Knowledge and skills transfer to members of the IT team
