WCC - Collection and haulage of Food Waste

Provision of collection and haulage of Food Waste containers from WCC Collection Points to Delivery Points/End Destinations for reprocessing.

A procurement process was carried out from February to May 2022 for the processing of separately collected food waste including collection and haulage. Following that tender a contract was awarded. The contract was later repudiated (or, in the alternative, there was a material breach of contract) and the repudiation was accepted (or, in the alternative, the contract was terminated for material breach) by Warwickshire County Council on 1 August 2022. The repudiation of the contract was an extraordinary and unexpected event which resulted in this contract award for the collection and haulage of food waste.
