Work description
The Council is committed to providing a workplace that promotes and protects the health, safety and welfare of its employees. The Council's Alcohol and Drugs Testing Procedure provides a mechanism to assist the organisation in achieving this aim.
The Council is seeking a single Provider to test its workforce for Alcohol and Drugs both randomly and for cause and suspicion as detailed within the Specification, with a commencement date of 1st May 2022.
Random tests will be pre-planned (where possible) within standard working hours between 06:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. Historically, an average of 140 random tests have been carried out per annum (subject to fluctuation to meet demand). Cause and suspicion tests are required 365 days per year/24hours per day. Historically, 1 cause and suspicion test has been carried out per annum (subject to fluctuation to meet demand).
