Work description

The Royal Borough of Greenwich, are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide supervised contact services for children and young people in Royal Borough of Greenwich. The provider is expected to deliver services from the Council’s contact centre at Erwood Road.

The definition of supervised contact in context of this service is contact arranged for children who are subject of care proceedings (as defined by the Children Act 1989), where proceedings have ended and the child remain in the care of the Local Authority. For all these children, the risks and concern regarding the significant adults in their immediate and extended family are such that supervised contact needs to be fully supervised, monitored and recorded.

Royal Borough of Greenwich currently provides some of its statutory obligations through the In-house service. The provider will work alongside the Council’s own in-house contact supervision service to enable the Council to meet its obligations. The maximum budget available for the delivery of this service is £240,000 per annum. This value may increase or decrease over the lifetime of the contract subject to the availability of funding.
