Maintenance for existing Platelet Storage Equipment (PSE)

NHSBT and participating Authorities (as outlined in the tender documentation) require maintenance for the existing Helmer PSE. The PSE is used to store platelet components under agitation at a controlled temperature of 20°C to 24°C within Authority premises. The equipment provides gentle horizontal flat bed agitation and storage capacity for adult therapeutic doses of platelet components of typical volumes 30mls to 1300mls.

This agreement is for 4 years with the option to extend for a further 4 year period. The contract value given is the estimate for the initial 4 year period only.
